90-100 grains of Goex FFg under an .015 patched .490 Roundball with Dynamit-Nobel caps on a drilled nipple in a Thompson Center Hawken with a Double Set trigger.

The older I get, the better I feel about tearing up parking tickets and cheating on my taxes.

CVA Optima 209 Magnum, weaver base, burris sig.Zee rings, Monarch UCC 6x42. I might have $550 in that whole set up.

The CVA has a Bergera barrel and came with a trigger that breaks right at 3lbs on the money. It shoots awesome and is very accurate. It would not shoot blackhorn 209 without modifying the breech plug(I didn't want to do that).
After trial and error , I settled on Triple7 FFFg at 100 grains, Win. muzzleloader primers, and shooting 250 grain Aerolite Powerbelts but will probably go to the 270 Platinums.
Only shot one doe so far but dropped her at 115yrds. My Dad is big into muzzleloading and I had blackhorn 209, harvestor sabertooth bullets, CCI hot primers and all (to show him what was up).......and ended up using all the stuff he told me to use to begin with ! WhackoBig Grin

TC G2 Contender .45, Nikon Monarch Gold 11/2- 6 X 42 30 MM, Talley Mounts,
Precision Rifle's 195 gr. .357 / .45 caliber Bullets, 90 gr. by volume Blackhorn 209
Blackhorn 209 is the only way to go I wouldn't use anything else even if it was free. If you don't believe that check out some other muzzleloader forums and you
will find that well over 90% of the inline shooters won't use anything else either.

When you are dead, you don't know you are dead.It is difficult only for others.

It is the same when you are stupid.
