Hi everyone.

Currently, I have a Bushnell Spacemaster 20-60x 60mm Multi-Position Long Eye Relief spotter. Had it a long time.

This is the one that can adjust to any angle, which is quite nice. Has a built in sun-shade. I also very much like the long eye relief, which lets me view the target without having to take off my shooting glasses.

The optics on it aren't too bad. I can resolve .223 holes at 200 meters. Which is all that I've ever really needed. Focuses easy. Has a ring to rotate position. For 100 yards or in, there's really nothing more I need. But I'd like to get something with more reach....

Now the negatives...it's pretty much worthless on anything but 20x. I can push it to 25-30x, but there's no real gains in what you can see and comes with the direct penalty of a dimmer image and lowered eye relief to where I have to take glasses off.

The fully adjustable angled eye piece mechanism is convenient but not necessary and kinda makes the fit, feel of the body kinda cheap. This was a $180 spotter back in the day.

My question is this....what is the best spotter, optically speaking, out there for $300-$400 or less that has an angled eye piece and has a rotating ring? Longer eye relief would be nice, but NOT necessary. 15x - 45x would be ideal.

And would such a spotter be noticeable better to justify an upgrade? Or is this one of those situations where I have to step up to the high dollar stuff (meaning near or around $1K for me) to have any kind of practical difference?

Your thoughts?

Thanks!
