I have found two scopes that I am interested in but wanted to see about anyone's experience with them. I have found a good deal on the Bushnell but would have to pay full price on the Viper. Any help appreciated. I will be using this for just hitting paper at the range, would like to learn range estimation with it, etc.

The edge to edge clarity is what will be noticeable between the two. (PST over Bushnell)
The PST will also perform slightly better at low-light conditions.

IMO i like the EBR reticle over the Mil-dot especially punching paper.
The EBR will be cleaner and not take up as much of your sight picture.

Overall I would go with the PST. Not worlds apart but noticeable.

You might also want to look at the Sightron scopes. They would be my first choice in this category. They track very well and have very good glass.

Or this one with mil dot and mil rad adjustments.

Plus they are less expensive than the two you asked about.
