I have a new M77 Hawkeye 308 in "Ruger Stainless" and was wondering if anyone has used the Warne Ruger Rings.  I really like the rings that came with the rifle, but they are in "Ruger Stainless" and look pretty bad with a matte black scope.  I did call Ruger and they will exchange my rings for blued tings, but I think I should go with matte black.  Any opinions?

I've got a Hawkeye Stainless Sporter and am wondering the same thing are Warne QD rings strong enough mounted on a Ruger without bases? BTW, I think black might be the way to go in color.

I have them on a Ruger #1 and they are fine mounts. They appear more robust than the many other Ruger rings I have. They are bigger in the clamping area.

I ended up saving some money by using the Ruger supplied rings, they look real strong and should hold up well.

You'll be happy.  They are good rings.
