I had another thread about this Fixed Luey FXIII scope.  That decision did not quite work out as I had hoped (kinda wanted to try the FXIII) because I had a gift card to Bass Pro and could not get them to order me the Luey FXIII that I wanted, so I got the Conquest 3-9X40. I really like my other Conquest so I am sure it will be great. Now on to Mounts.

I have some 1 inch Warne maxima (202M) Scope Mounts for my conquest 3-9X40 for my Vanguard Sub-Moa. The mounts say they are suggested for 42 to 52 scopes.

My question: Would you try to get the smaller / lower version of these or use the generous lift they offer?

My 700 mountain rifle has warne "lows" that are holding on to a 3-9 Conquest. Great set up - keep it LOW.

I ordered the lower (medium size) warne from SWFA yesterday.  I'll just bag the high one in case I get a 50mm sometime.  The medium should be perfect.  I'll mount it and go sight it in this weekend.  Give a range report then.    I want to break it in before it gets 150 degrees in phoenix.  Prefer to break it in while its coool.
