I've noticed this topic on other forums lately, but need the facts from the "pros" here. The 6-18X44 AO looks good, but at the price - about $250 - it's got to be from offshore.

Unfortunately, in this particular case, my professionalism is limited to other matters and I don't know where the Redfield Revenge scopes are made but I could guess that the lens' are made in Japan and everything is assembed in Oregon. Hopefully they are not made in China.
I read that only the exterior lens' are multi coated and interior lens' have single magnesium flouride coatings and the light transmission is somwhere near 90%. For years I was happy with ordinary and standard Mg Flouride coated optics but now that something better is available I can appreciate it. Looking through a scope in a store is a lot different than using one in the field at different ranges and poor light conditions. $250 or so looks like a good deal for a workable, durable and dependable 6-18X scope as long as it does not give you a headache when using it.
