I'm seriously considering how much I need/want/should have one of these.
They are obviously not going to be 'everywhere' and the chance of finding one in use here in Australia is non-existent. Is there anyone out there who has braved the process, bought one and can now say how they really feel about it? I see that with a little fine adjustment I could use it on an F Class rifle from 300-1000yds, almost without vertical turret adjustment and well into twi or bad light. Someone tell me I'm doing a sensible thing. Barry R |

Unless you intend to shoot in very cloudy conditions or at night, the 72mm objective seems a little overdone. I have a 25X with a 50mm lens and have never had poor light issues.

Barry, if you can afford it and want it... GET IT. Then you'll never have to say "I wish I had..." I've not yet handled that particular item, but I don't believe you'll ever be sorry (as long as you do not create a financial burden). If you can't afford to make that big of a "leap", don't... but IF you can, WHY NOT?

I have a 72mm and during a period I used to have two. I love the scope for low light, but for your competitions, unless in low light you would be fine off with the 6-24x56.

Thanks for the comments.
I think that the 72 is probably not going to be really cost effective over the 56. Looking at the 56 specs in comparison the differences in twilight and exit pupil don't really warrant the extra $1000 or so. That's another barrel fitted in AU$. Thanks again for coming back to me. Keep well Barry Roennfeldt |
