I'm about to purchase a new scope for my deer rifle. 95% of my shots are writhing 100yards and on food plots/along creeks in Mississippi. I'm looking for the king of scopes for low light and have narrowed it down to zeiss. Love them. If anyone has any experience with the Diavari and Victory HT models, I would love to hear your opinion on which is better and why. Also I'm going with the illuminated reticle 60. Thanks

At that distance, price point, and use, you'll never see a difference in what you get between those two.

The HT claims better light transmission… not sure I can see it.

No problem. I love the user name by the way! If you were talking further distances or different usage them you'd be talking more need to compare the options both provides you. Neither will ever leave you in a position that you wouldn't be able to take a shot with it that the other would have let you. My hunting scopes aren't high end stuff, mainly because i'm more "redneck without a paycheck" but also because the middle of the road glass I do use allows me to take shots all the way through legal hunting hours fine. Would a higher end scope allow me to see longer, yes, but also would be illegal for me to use later as well. Make sense?

Makes total sense. I ended up getting a rifle that I will keep for the rest of my life that is my pride and joy. So, I want to get the best scope for it for where I will be using it. You know what they say, buy what you want the first time!

Consider the Meopta r2 line. They have the 1.7-10x and 2-12 that are awesome mag ranges. They are quite a bit cheaper than the comparable Swaro and Zeiss models as well. Optically they will be right there with them.

Another vote for the meopta. There is a ZD line which I saw a review on youtube. Some guy in England was comparing them with the Victory FL. Check it out half the price for an equivalent quality scope. I think they have 3 or 4 different sizes
