That would be interesting. Since you can send me a Terra and Rifledude can send me a Conquest, this is probably worthwhile. I will be traveling until December 16th. If you can get me the scopes before December 20th, I'll do the test. I presume both scopes are in good condition with not apparent scratches on the lenses, right? Thanks ILya

I just received the scope last Friday and set it in rings last night. Not a mark anywhere on it. I noticed last night after placing it on the rifle that the softness seems to be significantly reduced however I also noticed that the index mark on the turrets tend to move when turning the turrets. I'll call Zeiss and see what they say.

The CS rep. I spoke to at Zeiss stated that the index marks on the turrets should NOT move when turning the adjustment knobs and that I should sent it in. I thought this a little odd since every other scope I have has some sort of movable index for setting a "zero" point after sighting in the scope but the Zeiss rep stated that the Terra line does not have this feature. ???
Ilya, I assume that you'd rather me have the scope repaired/replaced prior to sending it to you? |

Yes. If there is something wrong with the scope, better have Zeiss take a look at it first. ILya

It will be shipped to Zeiss this AM and should be there by Monday latest. If their turnaround time is as good as they claim, I should still be able to have it on your door in time for you to review it.

Any further developments with this product comparison between Conquest and Terra scope samples. Scope was sent to Zeiss on December 04. Looking for update on testing, thanks.

I've got both the Terra and the Conquest at my house in California.
Unfortunately, I am currently in Maryland. Tomorrow I will be in Massachusets. Last week I was in Nevada. I'll wrap up with it when I get home for any length of time. ILya

Yes. Disappointing to say the least and means that Zeiss is off my purchase list until they redeem themselves.
I really feel a bit like I've been scammed. Many thanks yet again Ilya for all the time and effort you put into this!!!! |

Thank you, Ilya! Great review!
I was disappointed by what I saw of the Terra scopes, so your review confirms my initial impressions of the line. |
